Chem19 Console Featured in National Museum ‘Rip It Up’ Exhibition

We’re very excited to have made a pretty unique contribution to this year’s flagship exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh: ‘Rip It Up’, celebrating 60 years of Scottish Pop Music. Our old desk – the Amex Einstein Super E, that some reading this may even have recorded on from 2000 to 2012 – is included in the ‘Home Grown’ section towards the end of the exhibition, highlighting the DIY scene that took Glasgow and Scotland by storm in the 90’s, leading to the formation of countless bands, record labels and recording studios all with a wish to direct their own fate, rather than place it in the hands of the then dominant London music industry.

It’s a pretty comprehensive exhibition and we urge you to go and see it between now and November, when it closes.
