Paul Savage

Winner of the Music Producer’s Guild Award ‘Breakthrough Producer 2010’

Studio owner Paul Savage has been working as a producer/engineer since the mid nineties when he formed the band The Delgados with Stewart Henderson, Alun Woodward and Emma Pollock in 1994. A year later the band would found Chemikal Underground Records, Glasgow’s seminal independent record label. Throughout the band’s career Paul was regularly to be found recording many of the label’s up and coming artists, building up a comprehensive catalogue of work with many of Scotland’s now internationally acclaimed artists. When The Delgados split in 2005, Chem19 Studios was relocated and rebuilt and Paul has been producing on a full time basis ever since.

Paul has worked with a broad range of clients over recent years including:

Deacon Blue, Belle and Sebastian, King Creosote, Mogwai, The Twilight Sad, RM Hubbert, Wu Lyf, Arab Strap, Camera Obscura, Malcolm Middleton, The Phantom Band, Emma Pollock and Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells
