Studio 1

Studio 1 has a huge sized live recording room (7 x 6 x 3.3m), one large vocal booth and two amp booths to enable fully separated live recording. The Control Room and Live Room benefit from natural daylight. Our much loved Amek Einstein, which we had from 2001 – 2012 has recently been upgraded to an SSL 948 AWS, an upgrade that has served us and our artists very well since. A beautiful upright Yamaha YUS piano is available for clients’ use, as well as various other keyboards, guitars, drums and amps.

Bands wishing to record live will benefit from the numerous recording spaces that Studio 1 offers as well as its Hear Back monitoring system which enables independent control of all instruments through the performers’ headphones.

With daylight streaming into both control and live rooms Studio 1 is a very comfortable space to work in for anything from a half day to weeks at a time; fuelled only by the music and numerous pots of strong coffee. There is also a separate lounge available exclusively to Studio 1 artists as well as shared kitchen facilities.

The hire rate for Studio 1 is £385 + VAT per 8 hr day including engineer.

The minimum booking is 4 hours (a half day).
